Fall break recap:
A hike up our favorite hill is always in order. Love that view. It's almost like Downtown isn't a 45 minute commute away :)
We had a special visitor. Gramps came to watch some soccer games. We'd had beautiful weather all week and and it turned about the time he landed. He wasn't loving braving the freezing rain at Stella's game.. and we thought he was from the NW!
He also spent some time entertaining Scarlet at Stella's very first basketball game. I think she'd had it. Driving around on winding mountain roads and no naps for a few days had taken it's toll. I don't think grandpa was sad to get on the plane and head home to some peace and quiet, but we are sure glad he came!
We went to a fun filled fundraiser for a friend of ours who is battling her second round of cancer. Lily once again chose to have her face painted like a puppy.
Stella had a driving lesson on our way to a game night with friends.
We played at the park during soccer practices, because why would they cancel those during fall break?
We continued our "tradition" of meeting the Gillespie's at Lamar's donuts when there is no school.
We spent a fun filled day at the beautiful Hudson Gardens.
Complete with a Leaf Hunt and snacks from my far better prepared friend Linda.
The kids sat on huge pumpkins and wished they could take them home with us, but they don't sell their pumpkins. Sad day!
Finn posing. This kid cracks me up.
Stella and I went on a "date night" for some shopping and dessert.
We watched the debate and Ryan called 9 News and fought with them over their misleading content.
I finished up some Hallowen Costumes.
We also ventured out for a day at the pumpkin patch.
My attempt at a cute pumpkin patch failed when Stella somehow managed to fill her pants with straw and she couldn't possibly look at the camera and smile. I will say it was a lot of straw and straw is itchy. Poor Stell.
We painted our bathroom for the second time. The master bathroom is almost complete. Yay!
We finished off the week with two more soccer games and a basketball game. It was a fun week, but I'm ready to be back to our daily routine.
