winter park.

On a whim over Labor Day weekend, we rented a cabin and headed to Winter Park.
I feel like it was one of the best decisions we've ever made.
It was so much fun to spend time as a family and enjoy the quaint cabin.

The back porch was amazing, the kids loved the hot tub, treehouse and little stream.

They also had a fire pit, we put to good use making s'mores.

Ryan took the older girls horse back riding through the Rocky Mountain National Forest. It was a two hour ride on "for real" horses as Stella would say with shear cliffs and beautiful views. I'm just glad they made it home alive.

The cabin was right across the street from the main part of town, we happened upon quite the festival with face painting, a band and balloon animals.

Lily was loving the puppy face and received quite a bit of attention from people passing by.

Ryan took Finn to the Skate Park and let him go wild on his Strider Bike. I'm pretty sure it was the highlight of the trip for Mr. Finn.

A little rock climbing in flip flops.. makes perfect sense?

And a trip down the alpine slide to finish things off.

I am so glad we were able to go and take the kids for a fun weekend away. Our last day some friends came up and spent the day with us, it was the perfect way to end our mini vacation. I love that we have access to so many fun places so close to home. If I can't have the beach.. the fresh mountain air is a close second.
