We had quite the week. Missoula Children's Theater came and we housed one of the directors. Both girls made the play which meant hours of rehearsals. Lily every day until 8pm and Stella 2 hours a day. We had some tired girlies and a few major melt downs but the end result was totally worth it.
The entire cast. Nearly 90 kids tried out and 60 kids made it.
Lily was in the circus! She was an acrobat. Last year Stella tried out and made it and Lily didn't. It may have been Lily's first true heart break, so she wasted no time making every minute of this year count. She cartwheeled, sang and danced her little heart out. She was expressive and loud and awesome!!
Stella was a WONDERBEAN!! The fun thing about this is that I was in Jack and the Beanstock with Missoula Children's Theater as a 6 or 7 year old... only back in the day, we were Mexican Jumping Beans. Stella was excited to be the same part as I was when I was her age. I wish I had the pictures to compare but we will have to find them when we are visiting the Couv this summer.
The other exciting part for Stella was that one of her very favorite friends made the play as well. Here they are with their cute friend who came to watch them. Love these darling girls.
The fabulous main character/narrator P.T. Wonder, Emily Usher! So fun to have her stay with us for the week.
The cutest wonderbean and acrobat I ever did see!
I think besides making the play, the highlight for these girls was having GRANDMA come to watch their performances. She took a chance and bought a ticket hoping they would make it.
I love seeing the girls enjoy and be a part of something that is such a vivid and wonderful memory from my own childhood. We are already looking forward to next year!
