oops december.

We were really excited to have Thanksgiving in Utah this year so we could start the season off at the Temple Square lights. The kids were SO excited because they have heard about the lights at Temple Square but have never been there.

We decided to drive home from Utah through the night so the kids would sleep, so we stopped at Temple Square around 8pm and bundled the kids up for the cold and crowds.

Aunt Cami met up with us to see the lights and say goodbye to the kids.

It was beautiful!! and a little miserable because it was SO crowded.

It was fun to see the newly built City Creek Mall. The kids stopped to pose with Mrs. Frost.
We left around 9:45 and made the 8 hour drive home. Temple square was the perfecting ending to our Utah weekend.

After deciding we were staying here for Christmas this year, we set out to make it the best Christmas ever. Surprised? We started out December with a winding road up to the National Forest to find a Charlie Brown Christmas Tree.

As you can see, Scarlet was not so sure about the whole thing.

Finn liked it for the mere fact that he got to carry around a saw. Not under my direction, but his dads.

The girls were just thrilled to run through the forrest with friends.

Our Charlie Brown Christmas Tree lasted about a week, before I couldn't take it anymore. One Sunday while I was home with a sick kiddo, I disassembled it and put up our fake one.

We visited Santa at the library. The kids thought it was great.

Christmas Sunday was a beautiful sunny day. We missed a shot of all four together in their Christmas clothes. Sad!

Christmas morning on the stairs.

Before...

Stella got a DSi... it didn't work, so she ended up with a different one the next day.

Taylor Swift concert tickets... too bad she has to wait until June!

Finn got a giant Bucky (Jake's Pirate Ship) and the Bucky pirate ship he'd been begging and begging for from Grandpa and Grandma. I thought I would be SO sad not being home but it ended up being a really fun Christmas. The kids were fun ages this year, my only regret is that we don't have pictures of Scarlet who woke up Christmas morning in a bed full of throw-up. Christmas morning was not her favorite day of the year.
