Late Saturday night the snow began falling. After a day full of blizzard warning messages on our phones we were ready and excited. Sunday morning we woke up sure church would be cancelled. Not the case. We ventured out in deep snow to hear who our new bishop and bishopric members would be.
As soon as sacrament was over, they sent us home. The kids were SO excited to get out and play in the snow.
Hours of shoveling and playing with the neighbors ensued.
Snow forts were built and snowball fights were had. I'm guessing these cute neighbor boys of ours were the winners.
We met a few of our new neighbors and the girls became instant friends.
It turned out to be such a fun snow day! I'm so glad my neighbors took lots of pictures since I wasn't about to get off the couch and join them in the snow. ha!
At some point our driveway became the sledding/snowboarding hill.
After spending hours over the last 4 days chipping away at my driveway with a snow shovel while all the neighbors driveways are clear and dry, we will not be doing this again :) My arms, shoulders and back have had quite a workout. On another note, Do you love Ryan in shorts?
After nearly a foot of snow, all the kids got on Monday was a 90 minute delay. They were pretty bummed, I thought it was perfect. Sleep in... send them to school.
